So Where are the Best ‘Burbs in the Pittsburgh Area?

Pittsburgh-based Niche crunched a whole lot of data to rank the best suburbs in the country, the state, and around here.

How do you judge where is a good place to set down roots? Part of the answer depends on an individual’s personal situation. A neighborhood that’s great for a young family might not be ideal for a millennial who has just landed his or her first job.

The folks at Pittsburgh-based Niche are in the business of helping “you find the neighborhood that’s right for you.”

With that goal in mind, Niche ranked 4,875 suburbs in the U.S. based on more than a dozen criteria ranging from the cost of living to the crime rate to the weather.

Here is the list of Pittsburgh-area suburbs which made list of the top 100 suburbs in Pennsylvania. (Statewide ranking in parentheses)

Mount Lebanon Named Best Suburb To Live In Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Pittsburgh has some great neighborhoods to live in and now the list of the Burgh’s best Burbs is out.

According to a new list, Mount Lebanon is Pittsburgh’s best suburb to live in for 2016.

That’s according to Niche which ranks suburbs in cities all across the country.

Rounding out the top 5 best suburbs in the Pittsburgh metro was McCandless Township, Aspinwall, Leet Township, and O’Hara Township.

List: Top 10 best neighborhoods to live in Pittsburgh for 2016.

Niche says the rankings are based on crime, public schools, cost of living, job opportunities, and local amenities.
